About me
The world wants you fat, dumb, and happy
For 17 years I worked exclusively in the control room of a nuclear power plant. Bad light, bad sleep, high stress, and all the coffee and donuts you could fit into a 12 hour shift. Was I happy? I guess as happy as I could be at 225 lbs, 38" pants, living in "comfort" as much as I could. There was no serious "pain" in my life.
Five years ago the direction of my life changed forever.
The nuclear plant where I had worked since I left the navy was shutting down for good. I was losing my job, the only job I have had for the past 30 years.
And little did I know, shortly after that, my son would grace us with two joyous and adorable grandchildren. That’s the good news, The “not so good” news was that there would be four “extra” people living with us for quite a while. This brings my wife and I GREAT joy, but with this joy comes the added stress
II had to get healthy, for myself, for my wife, for my son, and for my grandchildren. Failure was not an option.
A blessing in disguise
My stressful nuclear job has gone away, but for the past three years it has been replaced with a much lower stress job, with free time to study, research, and figure out what I needed to do to regain my health.
A new journey begins...
I have decided to dedicate my life to making my family, and everyone else who is interested, healthy, energetic, and able to enjoy their own children grandchildren, and even great grandchildren.
